Buenos Aires, Argentina: This is a wedding of a Valentine's Day that the bride's family did not want to be part of: Argentina A woman married the man accused of killing his twin sister.

The neighbors were against him too. A crowd gathered outside the registry office where the wedding took place on Thursday, throwing stones and eggs.


The bride, 23 years old, Edith Homes says Victor Cingolani is innocent of the murder of her twin sister Johana over two years, despite his conviction and 13 years in prison. The boyfriend says he is innocent and will be acquitted on appeal.

They both want to have children, but that will have to wait. Cingolani, 28, was taken back to jail in handcuffs immediately after the wedding. Houses Edith waited for hours until the crowd dispersed and was safe to leave.

The bride's mother thinks she's crazy and tried to block the wedding, but a judge found her capable of making his own decisions.

Homes Johana body was found in a field in the town of Pico Truncated in the southern province of Santa Cruz in 2010, shot twice in the chest.

Police arrested Cingolani, who was the former boyfriend of Johana, and Marcos Diaz, a neighbor who thought it was her boyfriend at the time of his death. Police later launched Diaz, citing lack of evidence against him.

Cingolani told local station Todo Noticias that his relationship with Edith began after she broke up with Johana, and that he had nothing to do with his death. "All the evidence points to someone else."

The twins' mother, Marcelina del Carmen Orellana, said Thursday he could not understand her daughter's decision.

"I always said she was threatened by the family Cingolani, I fear that something could happen to her because she is a murderer and a manipulator," he told local media.
