The Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav Committee took this decision after PLWHA Mallikarjun Rao, a sweet-maker Tapeswaram in East Godavari district, made the proposal to sell a portion of the laddu.Mallikarjun has been offering free laddu cost for the last four. However, last year, weighing 4,000 kg laddu it was damaged due to the rain and had to be dumped in the Hussainsagar.
