And when it comes to low-cost airlines, Asian and American Airlines dominated the list.
While easyJet came in sixth place, Ryanair was not in the top 10 at all.

Air Asia and Air Asia X took first and second low-cost airline, followed by Norway, the airline currently making waves, offering flights from London to the USA from 149 pounds one way.

The World Airline Awards are non-profit and free of any influence from third parties, and any passenger plane in the world can vote.

In June Etihad Airways tried to withdraw classification, citing a disagreement with the classification system, but nevertheless came in ninth. As airlines are chosen by consumers that can not be omitted form the awards.
