In Bengalure taxi-hailing ventures are  expanding the number of cabs and that offer free Wi-Fi.
Now Uber And Ola cabs have Free Wi-Fi:

Uber, is the world's most valued startup, the first project is started in Mumbai a month ago.Now  it's more services are going to expand in  five cities, including Bengaluru, Delhi/NCR and Hyderabad.

Ola,has started offering free Wi-Fi on Ola Prime and Very soon-to-be-launched Ola Shuttle. Sources told that the next couple of months TOI that Ola would add the facility to several thousand cabs over India .

"The cab companies are looking at 80% of their organization being fitted with Wi-Fi by the end of this year," a source near to the development informed TOI.

Uber has an exclusive tie-up with Airtel to get use its 4G networks, sources said Ola too, is using the country's largest mobile player. The cab companies are footing the data usage as well as the bill of the device . They have a 4G dongle that generates a Wi-Fi hotspot in a 100metre radius with a device-specific password. The device at Rs 2,300 and  gives speeds between 10-15 mbps.

A back-of-the-envelope calculation,  indicates that the usage per cab in a month has been around 10 GB.

for the first time in the world Uber has free Wi-Fi is being started at the national level . Already India  has the second biggest chance for Uber use, with the service available in 22 cities with 1.65 lakh drivers on its rolls.

"It is the principle behind Uber that the use can get more things done while in a travailing, be it getting their work done before catching up with social media for students or ts meetings for professionals  , leaving more time with family at home. In India network  can be a bit sloppy at times, this gives reliable high-speed internet," says Karun Arya, Uber spokesperson for South Asia and India.

Shuttl,is a point to point bus service and  also offering Wi-Fi to its users in 30 Tempo Travelers on two ways in Delhi/NCR on an experimental basis. The company started operations in this April, runs more than 400 vehicles in 22 routes in the region. "Most of our consumers are daily office goers.
