The engineering colleges had a slight reprieve from the Supreme Court, as it requested the Government to start Telangana web counseling in engineering schools that are following the standards of education. Due to this high court verdict universities occupy engineering web counseling from Tuesday.
The Telangana Government has scrapped 174 schools in the web counseling, they do not have adequate infrastructure and facilities to maintain standards and this verdict comes just as a temporary relief to schools.
Web counselling only for colleges with teaching facilities-Telangana
Prof. T. Papi Reddy, Telangana Chairman of Higher Education reported that the verification of the certificates will be held in 23 centers from now on. A meeting of officials from Telangana and Andhra was held yesterday to finalize the common web counseling. It is understood that 15% of the seats would be given to non-local students in Telangana State. Govt. is likely to issue guidelines to fill the seats of management soon. The certificates of candidates who obtained up to 25,000 rows will be verified from today. On 16 August will be verified certificates holders to 50,000 range, 17 August verification of certificates are held up to 75,000 rows. The 18 to 1 lakh, 20 August to 1,25,000, 22 August to 1,75,000 and 23 August for the remaining holders range.
