Today, a new pain in the neck for people of Ghost traffic SEO is also known as Spam Traffic Reference. If you are not yet aware of this, then you should check your Google Analytics after reading this post. In this article, I will share a quick guide to Ghost Traffic.

What is the Ghost traffic?
Traffic Ghost is the number of false visits generated in Google Analytics. There are a few websites that create fake business entries in your Google Analytics account and be registered as visits it.The fact is that they have never visited your website. As we can feel them (in GA), but does not exist in reality, it is called "Ghost traffic."

How to identify spam Ghost or referral traffic?
There are a few notable websites that send as referral traffic to your site. To identify if you are a victim or visit your traffic sources in GA. If you see any unusual keyword in the organic search or any unusual URL in your reference tab, then you are the victim of these ghosts. The most common keywords being used today are:

-recommends officially google search ilovevitaly.com shell
con ResellerClub
Websites spam reference are:

buttons-for-web
ilovevitaly.co
hulfingtonpost.com
blackhatworth.com
darodar.com
priceg.com
econom.co
How Visits Ghost or spam traffic Reference Works?
It is happening because there is a loophole in Google Analytics. This is the methodology of these spammers are using.

They run an automated script that is similar to search-bots that starts crawling random websites and their pages which leads them to other websites.
These trackers are at javascript on pages that are dynamic web content. The process ends running tracking code Google Analytics in which the script reference source, tracking code, user ID and the view page details (false details) connects etc.
This creates a false entry visit Google Analytics.

Why the hell are they doing?
Well, this should be the question in 99% of the people reading this or faced these ghost tours should be considering. There may be two reasons.

Just for fun or just to show how smart they are. : P
It is fair to get traffic to do this. How? Well, as webmaster every time there is a new or unknown referral traffic, you obviously will visit the reference and go to see how they are getting traffic from there? Where is the link? This will remain in place and also make visitors who return often. So people who are doing this can be those Black Hat SEO to ensure a fair number of visitors. (You have to admire their intelligence. I wish they had used the right way.)
How to get rid of it?
In fact, it is very difficult to get rid of. Many webmasters advised me to repudiate those links, but the fact is to ignore those links will not make any difference, because there is no backlink or royal visit.

Two possible solutions are:

Create filters for each referral spam.
It is very difficult and time consuming process because you have to add separate filters for each website spam and consultation that will change in a few days.
Create a filter for invalid hosts
This means you can create a filter by hostname. The filter should allow only the names of hosts known to send traffic to their analysis. Again, it is very difficult and calls for special care because a wrong move could result in leakage of user data.
Note: Once you filter data, never recover. So be careful when using filters, try to create the mirror account and apply filters on that.

It is Holy harmful Visit? Can it affect SEO score or any related factor?
The most important question, right? The simple answer is "No". The team webspam Google considers no data or information to Google Analytics. So these ghost tours can only do one thing and that is that horrifies with its existence, nothing more :)

How will it affect your SEO efforts?
As I said there is no direct consequence of these visits, but use the GA data for analysis, you can forward it to you. I mean that often you can see a fluctuation in traffic and speed in their reports that could divert their efforts, especially for novice SEOs startup or bouncing.

What is the solution?
The simplest solution is to "Ignore". Just ignore such unusual views. Whenever you use the information for research, using tools of progress reports and exclude the phantom traffic. It will help you analyze the correct data. So you can focus in the right direction.

What is the permanent solution?
That's not in our hand right now. We have to wait for Google to take action against this and provide some security in GA.

I hope this article adds value to your knowledge base. Have you experienced these ghosts? Share your experience and views.
