How to Find the Biggest Files in Your Google Drive Easily When the Google Drive is running out of storage space

when your Google Drive is running out of storage space you will either add more storage or next option is that you have to clean up your Drive by deleting the large files that are hogging up the bulk of space. But how to know where these big files are hiding in your Drive.

If you will go to the List View in the Google Drive, it will shows the sizes of all your files but unfortunately there is no option to sort that list by their sizes. Google Drive does not supports a Gmail-style size search operator unlike your emails, you cannot search for big files in the Google Drive.

However there is an easy workaround. When you are in Google Drive go to the bottom left corner and you will see the link that shows how much storage space you have used. However your mouse over the link and then choose the Google Drive. The list you now see is sorted by size and the largest are listed at the top of the Drive.

You can use the URL drive.google.com/#quota to directly access the list.

The list includes the non-native file formats since the native Google files like your Google Documents/ Spreadsheets and they do not count towards the available.
